Hardscape Foreman
Do you take pride in building something that will last for years to come? When challenges come up on a job site, are you the person looking for solutions? Do your teammates know they can count on you to keep your word, do quality work, and leave every project better than you found it?
If you're someone who enjoys working with your hands, seeing the results of your effort, and ending each day knowing you built something you're proud to put your name on, keep reading.
Some people are satisfied simply getting the job done. Others take ownership, continually look for ways to improve, and believe that how you work with your team is just as important as the finished product. If you're someone who values craftsmanship, communicates with respect, enjoys learning, and wants to be part of a dependable team that holds one another to a high standard, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
We're a family-owned landscaping company that's building more than patios, walkways, and retaining walls… We're building a team of people who care deeply about doing exceptional work, serving clients well, and helping one another grow.
We're looking for a Hardscape Foreman who can lead a crew, deliver excellent hardscape projects, and set the standard for craftsmanship, ownership, and client service.
Why This Role Matters
Every project we complete is built on trust. Our clients invite us onto their property because they believe we'll deliver quality work, communicate well, and treat their home with care.
As our Hardscape Foreman, you'll guide the crew through quality installations, keep projects moving safely and efficiently, and help deliver work clients are proud to recommend.
Your work directly impacts:
Quality craftsmanship
Client satisfaction
Team success

What Success Looks Like
Within your first six months:
Your crew knows what needs to happen each day and can count on your direction and follow-through.
You organize job-site priorities, solve problems, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Clients notice the quality of your work and professionalism.
You confidently lead installations, operate equipment, and care for company tools and job sites.
You consistently demonstrate ownership, initiative, and attention to detail.
You leave every project better than you found it.
Success isn't measured only by what gets built. It's measured by the pride you take in your work, the trust you build with clients, and the value you bring to your team.
Who Thrives Here
We're looking for someone with hands-on hardscape skills and the ability to lead others well. Your character matters just as much as your experience.
Our ideal foreman:
Takes ownership instead of waiting for direction.
Leads by example through work ethic and attitude.
Welcomes coaching and uses feedback to improve.
Values continual learning and actively seeks feedback to improve.
Solves problems instead of making excuses.
Communicates respectfully with teammates and clients.
Follows through on commitments.
Takes pride in doing quality work every day.
You'll bring proven hardscape installation skills and the confidence to guide a crew. Character, coachability, integrity, and ownership are essential to how we work.
Experience We're Looking For
Two or more years of hardscape installation experience; experience directing a crew or leading job-site work strongly preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of hardscape construction, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
Experience operating skid loaders and other equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to safely perform physically demanding outdoor work.
This Role May Not Be The Best Fit If…
We want every new team member to succeed, so it's important to be honest about what this role requires.
This role may not be the right fit if you:
Prefer doing only your assigned tasks instead of taking initiative.
Become frustrated when plans change or unexpected challenges arise.
Are uncomfortable receiving feedback or continuing to learn.
Prefer working independently rather than as part of a team.
Don't enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Believe quality is "good enough" instead of something worth continually improving.
You won't need to know every Red Rock process on day one, but you should be ready to lead, solve problems, and take ownership of quality work.
You'll have support from Dave as you learn how we work, and we'll count on you to bring the experience, initiative, and care our crew and clients deserve.
Why Join Red Rock?
We're a family-owned company where team members say they feel like people, not numbers. They appreciate the personal atmosphere, communication, morning huddles, good customers, and a crew that works hard together. Here's what that looks like in practice:
Year-round work for our valued, dependable team members. Dave and Christie work hard to keep their people employed through the winter rather than relying on seasonal layoffs.
Monday–Friday work, with weekends off.
Flexibility when family commitments come up. We do our best to work around important appointments and family events.
Well-maintained equipment and newer trucks, with owners who listen when crews suggest tools or changes that make work safer and easier on their bodies.
The chance to work closely with Dave, an experienced hardscape professional who has helped others develop their craft.
Real examples of advancement: Multiple employees started as crew members and now lead crews. We recognize strong performance and work to create opportunities for more responsibility and better pay.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (no regular weekend work)
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA
Our Culture
We want to have your back and save your back. We take pride in good equipment, listening to the people doing the work, and building a team where people respect and support one another.
We believe great teams are built on shared values. Our team strives to:
Keep our word.
Take ownership.
Look for solutions instead of excuses.
Work smarter, not harder.
Treat others with respect.
Leave things better than we found them.
